Local Family Sets Up Shop

No place could have been a better choice to open our facility in early 2019 than Jeff’s hometown of Carmichael. It truly takes a village, and we are so grateful for our community support and the guidance of friends, parents, family, and each other . All smiles on lease signing day shown here.

Jeffrey Buck

Owner

Jeff was born and raised in the Sacramento area and has had a passion for cars and repair from a very young age. Instead of getting in trouble for parties when his parents would go out of town as a teenager, he would get in trouble for taking engines out of their cars and rebuilding them in the backyard! He began his professional study under the instruction of Dave Burkhard through the Automotive Technology Program at Del Campo High School here in Carmichael and completed courses at American River College and other technical schools in the area. He was granted scholarships and internships and was mentored by renown shop owner Kevin Nelson of Service Outlet in Roseville. Jeffrey has worked for auto repair shops and Honda dealerships in Carmichael, Folsom, Roseville, Sacramento, and Reno, NV as a technician and has held managerial positions as well. He has also continued his education and training, earning his ASE Master Technician Certification, the highest ASE certification possible, along with other certifications and training completions including Factory Honda Training, certification of after-market advanced diagnostics, advanced testing and analysis of CAN communication systems, and technical training of factory and after-market vehicle scan tool application.

After a decade in the industry, Jeffrey decided to open up the repair facility of his dreams and is excited to provide his hometown with high quality vehicle care. Buck Family Automotive is now an award-winning Carmichael staple and Jeff the proud owner. When he is not at the shop, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Rosie, and son, playing billiards (a Hardtimes Billiards local!), hanging out with his brothers, and spending time at local events.

Rosie Buck

Owner

Rosie was born and raised in the Bay Area in her hometown of Santa Cruz, and is happy to call Carmichael home. Photographer turned Stay-at-home-mom, now Owner at Buck Family Automotive, she has a passion for family and business. After studying at the University of Nevada, Reno with a major in Sociology and minor in Psychology, she started her own successful business as a photographer.

After a couple of years in Reno, she relocated to the Sacramento area to be closer to family and friends. She soon met Jeff, and well, here we are today! Rosie is the proud mother of their son, Archer, and has dove into the automotive world with enthusiasm, earning ASE’s Introduction to Automotive Repair Certificate of Completion. She currently manages the day-to-day operations, marketing, and is the voice (and photos) behind our social media. Rosie is also at the forefront of our community outreach, currently sits on the advisory committee for the local automotive program in the San Juan School District in conjunction with American River College, currently runs and manages The Carmichael Chamber of Commerce as the 2024 Board President, sits on the Board of Directors for the Carmichael Improvement District as Board Secretary, as well as the committee chair for their Outreach Committee and is their social media manager. She was recently appointed to a board seat for the Carmichael Parks Foundation, and is a volunteer for the Carmichael Recreation and Park District, assisting with their social media and special events.

Rosie Buck is also a proud recipient of the prestigious recognition, 2024’s 40 under 40 by the Sacramento Business Journal, honoring her for her leadership, community impact, and entrepreneurship.

When Rosie is not at the office, she enjoys spending time with her son at local parks, going on hikes and spending time at the river, art, and visiting her family in the Bay Area.

Noah Welch

Automotive Service Technician

Toyota/Lexus Specialist

Subspecialty: everything else!

Noah was born and raised in the Carmichael area and fell in love with cars and auto repair helping his mechanic father in their garage growing up. He is also a childhood friend of owner Jeff Buck and they went from riding their bicycles around the neighborhood to jumping into auto shop class together.

Noah began his professional study under the instruction of Dave Burkhard through the Automotive Technology Program at Del Campo High School here in Carmichael and was so technically skilled he actually entered the advance program ahead of his peers. He completed his first internship at what is now Future Chevrolet and also dove into competitive drift racing. A skilled driver, he went to the NorCal Drifting Academy, and worked up the ranks from Amateur Racing to Pro-Am racing for several years. How cool is that?!

Noah has always been seen as a valued technician; being hired on the spot at one of the largest General Automotive Repair Facilities in Anchorage, Alaska, to being employed by TOS (right here off of Auburn Blvd) for four years (where Jeff and Noah worked alongside each other), and being hired on the spot at Roseville Toyota and working for them for the past four years.  He has also continued his education and training, earning multiple ASE Technician Certifications, along with other certifications and training completions including Factory Toyota Electrical Training and vehicle emissions courses at American River College.

After a lifelong friendship and over a decade in the industry together, we are excited to have Noah on board with us here at Buck Family Automotive. Noah is excited to see Jeff’s childhood dream of owning a facility become a reality and is happy to be a part of our growth and continued success. When he is not at the shop, he enjoys riding his motorcycle, going to local events, and spending time with friends and family.

Pat Rennie

Automotive Service Technician

Hyundai/ Kia/ Genesis Specialist

Subspecialty: Honda

Pat Rennie’s journey into the world of automotive mechanics began with a different kind of engine in mind—aircraft. He started his training at Sacramento City College, where he studied aircraft mechanics, laying a strong foundation in precision and technical expertise. However, his passion for automotive work soon took the driver’s seat. Pat spent three years at Sears Automotive Center, where he expanded his knowledge and honed his skills working on a wide variety of vehicles.

Pat’s career took a specialized turn when he joined Roseville Hyundai, where he spent three years mastering the intricacies of Hyundai vehicles. His reputation as a Hyundai expert grew, leading him to further his specialization at Folsom Hyundai. It was during his time at Folsom Lake Honda, however, that Pat crossed paths with Jeff Buck. The two worked side by side, developing a strong professional bond that has come full circle with Pat’s arrival at Buck Family Automotive.

What Pat loves most about working in the automotive industry is the challenge of solving intricate problems and tackling the most difficult diagnostics. His analytical mind and attention to detail make him a standout technician, particularly when it comes to the unique demands of Hyundai vehicles.

When he’s not under the hood, Pat enjoys a range of hobbies that showcase his technical prowess and love for the outdoors. Whether he’s 3D printing, fishing, gunsmithing, or 4-wheeling in the Sierras, Pat brings the same dedication and enthusiasm to his personal interests as he does to his work.

We’re thrilled to have Pat on board at Buck Family Automotive, where his expertise and passion for the trade are invaluable assets to our team.
